SVP, Director of Content & Consultative Services
As SVP, Director of Content & Analytics, John McMorrow has oversight for the direction of these departments in advising on and interpreting data for CoxReps corporate clients, 300+ television stations and nationwide sales staff. John’s division makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of different data sets, develops long-term relationships throughout the industry at network, studio, measurement vendors, client levels, and provides consultative insights used for strategy and negotiation. Additionally, John informs and develops recommendations to capitalize on industry advancements that could impact CoxReps’ business. John greatly enjoys working with clients and helping them reach successful outcomes.
John began his career at Cox in 1984 as a Research Analyst and was promoted to Associate Program Director two years later. He was named Vice President of Content, called Programming at the time, in 1995. From there, he went on to hold several VP & SVP titles, undertaking his current role in 2022.
John is a former TVB Research Chairperson, and was elected Chair of the Local Television Committee for the Council for Research Excellence in 2016.
John graduated from Iona College with a BA in Communication – Broadcast Journalism.
